18th and Early 19th-Century Art in Europe and North America

These credentials documents competencies including knowledge of world art, fine and applied art, and the historical events and people that influenced and created historical art. Though many positions in art history require appropriate education at various levels and additional training, a fundamental understanding of art history provides foundational knowledge that supports many aspects of daily tasks and decision-making for artists, teachers, art therapists, tour guides, librarians, curators, designers, and researchers.
