RE-CREDENTIALING & RENEWAL

WHY IS RENEWAL NECESSARY?

Every field is constantly evolving with new job responsibilities, regulations, and employer expectations. NWCA requires regular continuing education in order to keep your credentials current so that you can be sure you're up on the latest skills and developments in your field and employers can be certain of your commitment to professional development.

NWCA credential-holders are required to complete a selection of Microcredentials related to their field of expertise. We've curated a list of essential and related skills for every NWCA industry so that you can choose from a variety of skills to showcase as part of your continuing education. Provided you earn at least 3 designated Microcredentials over consecutive 2-year periods, your credential will not expire.

See the NWCA Handbook for more information.

WHO NEEDS TO KEEP CURRENT?

All NWCA Credential holders must complete continuing education requirements in order to maintain their credential.
