Some addiction counseling positions may require only a bachelor’s degree or a specific certification. Requirements differ by position and state. Specifically, this badge demonstrates the earner's ability to explain techniques for working with a client's feelings, behaviors, beliefs, thoughts, language, symbolic meanings, stories, interactional patterns, and cultural and social systems.
