The Developmental Math credential documents the basic math concepts fundamental to many businesses, healthcare, legal, scientific, and technical tasks including measurements, conversions, geometry, arithmetic, and algebra.

This credential is appropriate for almost any professional in the business, healthcare, legal, technical, or scientific industry. Basic math is required for entry-level workers and managers alike in the performance of many common tasks.
JOB/CAREER REQUIREMENTS
Developmental Math credentials document the basic knowledge of math including measurement, fractions and decimals, ratios and percentages, simple statistics, geometry, arithmetic operations with real numbers, and algebra. Almost every professional in the workplace must use some level of math to accurately perform measurements, to convert from one unit to another, to understand simple statistics, to calculate rates and percentages, to complete geometry problems, and to solve a variety of problems using algebra.
DEVELOPMENTAL MATH WORKPLACE TASKS:
- Business professionals solve a variety of problems using simple math and algebra, i.e. tracking and manipulating data, creating budgets, solving financial problems and reading financial statements, and buying and selling products.
- Healthcare professionals perform a variety of mathematical operations when administering medication, collecting demographic and vital sign data, evaluating information from research studies, and more.
