This credential is appropriate for any business or industry professional who must write as a part of their job responsibilities, including common business correspondence and documents, informational and research reports, online content, publicity content, etc.
JOB/CAREER REQUIREMENTS
This credential documents competencies in basic writing tasks including how to write using basic grammar and punctuation, how to write with style, how to follow a logical writing process and plan a writing project, how to revise and proofread writing, and how to effectively format a writing piece. Writers in business and other industries must also write for a variety of purposes including descriptive essays, narrative essays, example descriptions, definitions classifications, process essays, compare and contrast pieces, cause and effect essays, arguments, and summaries. They must also know how to follow the research process, avoid plagiarism, and write an effective research paper.

- Follow the rules of basic grammar and punctuation.
