PURPOSE
The Teaching Professional credential documents the essential competencies for the K-12 teacher in terms of understanding how education at the K-12 level is changing, how to become an excellent professional educator, and how various views of education and educational philosophies shape school reform proposals.
AUDIENCE
This credential is appropriate for teachers, administrators, counselors, librarians, school board members in the public or private K-12 education sectors as well as interested and involved community members.
JOB/CAREER REQUIREMENTS
The credentials in education and teaching document knowledge of the complex world of education in terms of its challenges and proposed solutions, its evolution and lessons learned from the past, and steps for becoming an effective education professional.
TEACHING WORKPLACE TASKS:
