Basic Pharmacology and Dosage Formulations

This credential documents development of knowledge and skills related to the procedures used in assisting the pharmacist in preparing mediation orders and managing the various aspects of the pharmacy practice under the supervision of a pharmacist. This credential is designed to document the knowledge and skills of pharmacy technician working in the community pharmacy setting or the hospital pharmacy setting including pharmacy practice administration, pharmacy law and ethics, inventory management, and pharmacy insurance billing, performing calculations required for filling prescriptions, compounding, preparation of sterile products, and understanding pharmacology and dosage formulations related to each body system in order to ensure patient health.
